Policy
The District Governing Board (the Board) follows a leadership philosophy that Board members will:
- Act as a singular unit and speak with one voice.
- Represent the shared interests of the citizens of Coconino County and serve the public good.
- Create a positive climate for the college as a whole.
- Foster a culture of evidence that monitors the performance of the College.
- Lead as a thoughtful, informed, educated team.
The Board mission is to govern the College on behalf of Coconino County citizens by:
- Employing, evaluating, and supporting the College President.
- Ensuring the fiscal health and stability of the institution.
- Setting and monitoring the policy direction including:
- Setting the visionary policy direction for the College.
- Establishing policies that set standards for high quality, ethics, and prudence in College operations.
- Establishing policies to support the mission of the College that focus on student access, equity, success and completion
- Establishing policies to attract and retain high quality personnel.
- Establishing policies to ensure fair treatment of employees.
- Supporting and advocating for the College.
