Scholarships
Explore Scholarship Opportunities
Scholarships are free money to help pay for college that you typically do not have to repay. They may be awarded based on financial need, academic achievement, your program of study, background, experiences, goals, or other criteria set by the organization providing the scholarship. They can be awarded by the school or an outside organization.
START WITH CCC FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIPS
The Coconino Community College Foundation awards an average of 80 scholarships to CCC students each year, and there is no cost to apply. One application can help connect you with many scholarship opportunities that match your qualifications.
2026–2027 Foundation scholarship applications are now closed. Check back in early December.
How To Apply
When applications are open:
- Apply to CCC. You must be admitted before you can access the scholarship application.
- Log in to AwardSpring (CCC’s scholarship portal), using your CCC login. You do not need to create a separate account.
- Complete the scholarship application and a short essay.
- Submit your application by the posted deadline.
- Watch your CCC email. AwardSpring may identify additional requirements for specialized scholarships you may qualify for.
- Submit additional applications. If you are eligible, some additional scholarship applications specific to you may show up after you submit the general application. We encourage you to apply to them all.
Much of your personal and academic information, including information such as your GPA and address, is automatically added to your scholarship application.
Do I Need to Complete the FAFSA?
You can submit a CCC Foundation scholarship application before completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), but CCC currently requires a completed FAFSA to be on file before scholarship funds can be awarded.
If you are unable or ineligible to complete the FAFSA, contact the Financial Aid Office to discuss your options before assuming you cannot receive scholarship assistance.
CCC’s Federal School Code is 031004.
You May Qualify for More Than You Think
Scholarships are not only for students with perfect grades. Different CCC Foundation scholarships consider different qualifications, including:
- Academic achievement
- Financial need
- Program or field of study
- Life experience or background
- Where you live
- Career or transfer goals
- Community involvement
- Other donor-specific requirements
Some scholarships also have enrollment or GPA requirements. Review the current scholarship list to see which opportunities may fit you.
Foundation scholarship funds may be used toward tuition, fees, books, living costs, and other educational expenses, subject to the requirements of the individual scholarship.
