Caviat - Career & Technical Education In High School

Explore a Career Path before you graduate

Interested in healthcare, technology, trades, or other career pathways? Through the Coconino Association for Vocations, Industry and Technology (CAVIAT), you can gain hands-on training and, in some programs, earn college credit and industry-recognized credentials before graduation.

Program Highlights

If you learn best by doing, CAVIAT puts you in labs, shops, and studios to practice the skills employers need. You’ll build confidence, explore a career you’re excited about, and create a foundation for college certificates and degrees.

  • CTE programs like Automotive, Early Childhood Education, Fire Science, and more.
  • Workforce‑aligned curriculum to build practical, in‑demand skills.
  • College credit and stackable credentials so the work you do now can count toward future certificates, credentials, and degrees.

Getting Started

Start by talking with your high school counselor about which CAVIAT programs are available at your school and which ones fit your goals. From there, you’ll complete the CAVIAT application and watch for next steps from CAVIAT.

Depending on the program, you may also need to complete CCC admission, registration, or placement steps before your spot is confirmed.

For current deadlines, program details, funding information, and application instructions, visit the CAVIAT website.
